Shaun Marsh's fifty helped Australia stretch their lead to 326 runs against India at stumps on day four of the third Test in Melboure. Marsh (62*) and Ryan Harris (8*) remained unbeaten for hosts with the team ending the day on top with 261 for 7 on board.
Ishant Sharma set the ball rolling in the final session of the day, testing the hosts in the channel outside off and was duly rewarded when he picked up Joe Burns. Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav also picked up wickets as India did not give away easy runs. However, Marsh kept his concentration and added useful runs with the support of tail-enders and went on to bring up his first fifty of the series.
